This is a tinted version of my original graphite drawing which I completed this week. There are some drawings I do this with - scan the original, then alter it in Photoshop by applying a tint. This is especially true with older work which was never envisioned in color in the first place (It has only been a little over a year since I started working with color). However, this drawing was envisioned in full color. So to do that, I make an archival print from the scan of the original drawing, and complete another version in colored pencils. It's like having two originals...the graphite version, and the colored pencil version. So now I begin the colored version which ususally takes several weeks. Whereas this tinted version appears to be in daylight, the colored version is actually a night scene, with the peacock feathers irridescent in the moonlight.
